Another shooting reported in Albany, victim critical

ALBANY, Ga. – A shooting is under investigation in Albany, leaving one person in critical condition.

According to the Albany Police Department, officers responded around 2:18 p.m. on March 26 to the 1500 block of Georgia Avenue in reference to a shooting.

Police say a 25-year-old man was shot and transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition.

This marks the third reported shooting in Albany within a two-day span, following two separate incidents on March 25 that left one person dead and another injured.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and additional details will be released as they become available.
