Moonlight Masters Glow Ball Tournament set for March 27 in Americus

AMERICUS, Ga. – A unique nighttime golf event combining fun and fundraising is coming to Sumter County this week. The Moonlight Masters Glow Ball Tournament is set for Friday, March 27 at the Griffin Bell Golf Course.

Hosted by The Scott Law Foundation, the event will feature a one-of-a-kind par-3 tournament that begins in the early evening and continues after dark.

Teams of three will tee off for a nine-hole twilight round starting at 6 p.m., followed by a barbecue dinner. Players will then return to the course for a second nine-hole round using glow-in-the-dark golf balls.

Organizers say the event will include cash prizes for the top three teams, along with fun challenges like closest-to-the-pin contests. The cost to participate is $300 per three-person team, with optional mulligans available for purchase.

All proceeds from the tournament will benefit The Scott Law Foundation, which provides assistance to local families facing life-threatening illnesses.
