Lowndes County Historical Society to host “Sip Into History” March 19

VALDOSTA, Ga. – History enthusiasts and fans of a little Southern nostalgia can gather this Thursday, March 19, for a special program at the Lowndes County Historical Society and Museum. The event, titled “Sip Into History,” begins at 4 p.m. at the Bird Annex on West Central Avenue.

The afternoon will feature local collector and Coca-Cola enthusiast James “Bama” Walker, who will share stories, historic images, and rare collectibles. Walker will explore Lowndes County’s unique connection to Coca-Cola history and highlight how the brand’s advertising has evolved over the years, influencing both American culture and the region’s local story.
