River Town Days returns to Bainbridge Riverfront March 14

BAINBRIDGE, Ga. – River Town Days is back this weekend, bringing a full day of free, family-friendly fun to the riverfront in downtown Bainbridge. The annual community festival takes place Saturday, March 14, at the Earle May Boat Basin Park, with parking and admission completely free.

The festival, hosted by the Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce, features children’s rides and activities, live entertainment, a marketplace filled with vendors, and a variety of food options. Organizers say River Town Days is designed to bring together Southern talent, folklore, artistry, and originality while creating an atmosphere of connection and culture. The festival celebrates South Georgia’s roots and offers the community a chance to come together along the riverfront.

The day begins with the River Rummage Sale from 8 a.m. until noon. Food vendors and the marketplace open at 9 a.m., offering everything from local eats to handmade goods. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., kids can enjoy a wide range of activities, including inflatables, slides, train rides, pony rides, a 4-H petting zoo, face painting, and Build-A-Bear-style stuffed animal activities. The Home Depot in Bainbridge will also host a free hands-on kids workshop from 10 a.m. to noon.

Several free exhibits will be available throughout the day, including displays from Gulf Specimen Marine Lab and Chehaw Park & Zoo. Most children’s activities are free, with some attractions offering a $10 armband option for unlimited access.

Live music begins at 4 p.m., with performances by Seventh Addiction and Derrick Dove & the Peacekeepers leading up to the evening’s headliner. Country music artist Larry Fleet will take the stage at 7:45 p.m., capping off the celebration with a free riverfront concert.

River Town Days began in 2003 as a way for the local chamber and businesses to give back to the community. Over the years, it has grown into one of Bainbridge’s signature spring events, drawing visitors from across South Georgia and neighboring states.
