Young adults invited to S.E.L.F.I.E. Conference March 14 at Valdosta State University
VALDOSTA, Ga. – Young adults in the Valdosta area have a unique opportunity to gain real-world skills and valuable resources at the 10th Annual S.E.L.F.I.E. Conference, taking place Saturday, March 14, at Valdosta State University in the University Center’s Magnolia Rooms. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., with the program kicking off at 10 a.m.
Hosted by the Valdosta-Lowndes Metro Section of the National Council of Negro Women and the Valdosta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., this free conference is designed for young men and women ages 16 to 25. S.E.L.F.I.E. stands for Success, Education, Leadership, Finance, Innovation, and Empowerment, reflecting the conference’s focus on equipping attendees with tools for personal, academic, and financial growth.
Participants can take part in an interactive Money Smart Reality Fair, budgeting and financial goal workshops, access a free professional clothing closet, enjoy free food, and even have a chance to win a free laptop.
