Albany Symphony Orchestra to host 3rd Annual Crawfish Festival March 14 at Thronateeska Heritage Center
ALBANY, Ga. – “Get cray” this Saturday, March 14, as the Albany Symphony Orchestra brings the flavor of Louisiana to downtown Albany with its 3rd Annual Crawfish Festival. The family-friendly event runs from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Thronateeska Heritage Center.
Guests can enjoy all-you-can-eat fresh Louisiana crawfish, provided by Crawfish Country Catering, along with live Zydeco music from Black Cat Zydeco. The festival also features a crawfish shelling contest, hot dogs, and a cash bar for those looking to mix it up.
Advanced tickets are $65, and children 10 and under get in free. Only a limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $75, so early purchase is recommended. Tickets are available online at albanysymphony.org.
“This unique event offers a fun and entertaining experience unlike any other in Albany,” says Crawfish Festival Chair Sherry Metzler. “Please join us as we bring the flavor of Louisiana and the sound of Zydeco to our community, you will not want to miss it!”
Proceeds from the Crawfish Festival support the Albany Symphony Orchestra’s Educational Outreach Program, which provides live music and performance experiences to over a thousand students in Dougherty, Lee, Crisp, Baker, Worth, Mitchell, Calhoun, Colquitt, and Terrell counties. Thanks to the support of donors and sponsors, students can attend performances at no cost to their schools, gaining access to live theater, symphonic music, and music history as part of a high-quality educational experience.
