Albany to host COMBOS® Marathon & Half Marathon March 7

ALBANY, Ga. – Runners and walkers are gearing up for the annual Albany COMBOS® Marathon & Half Marathon, happening Saturday, March 7, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., starting at the Albany Welcome Center.

The event invites participants of all ages and skill levels to take on either 13.1 or 26.2 miles along what organizers describe as one of the fastest, flattest, and most spectator-friendly courses in the region.

The race winds through the heart of Albany, giving runners a unique view of the city while competing for medals and bragging rights.

Today is the final day to register at the $90 race fee (plus processing fees). The price increases to $105 just before midnight, so organizers encourage anyone planning to participate to secure their spot now. Registration is available online through RunSignup.

Packet pickup and the Race Expo will be held Friday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Albany Civic Center. The expo is free and open to the public and will feature local vendors, running gear, novelty items, and community sponsors. All race packets and bib numbers must be picked up during Friday’s expo. If a runner cannot attend, a friend or family member may pick up the packet with a copy of the runner’s driver’s license and written permission.

Marathon participants will also receive a free admission ticket to the Rock & Roll Music Festival. This all-day festival kicks off downtown at noon and runs until midnight, featuring live bands, kids’ activities, local vendors, and crafters, making it a fun celebration for the whole family.
