MOULTRIE, GA – There are no classes today at Moultrie’s CA Gray Middle School and it’s not due to Covid-19 or Tropical Storm Fred, but rather a death investigation in close proximity to the school’s campus.

GBI Agent Jamy Steinberg tells South Georgia Television News that his agency is on the scene with a Crime Scene Specialist. Steinberg says the Moultrie Police Department requested the GBI’s assistance in a death investigation outside of the school’s property.

Colquitt’s Schools and Community Relations Coordinator Lou Ann Lardy confirms today’s closure of CA Gray “due to a Moultrie Police Department investigation of a non school related incident. School will resume on Wednesday, August 18 unless otherwise notified,” said Lardy in a Tuesday press bulletin.
