Mandatory masking begins today at Ben Hill schools

New policy extends through the end of the month

FITZGERALD, GA – Starting today at Ben Hill Middle School as well Fitzgerald High School College and Career Academy, all students must wear masks indoors or where any close contact cannot be avoided.

The new policy comes as new Covid-19 cases are diagnosed across South Georgia.

Ben Hill County Schools alerted parents of the protocols via their social media page Monday.

The action comes as the system sees more symptomatic and quarantined students.

Superintendent Dr. J Shawn Haralson says the policy will extend to August 31st.
