Fitzgerald High hosts annual baseball skills camp
FITZGERALD, GA – Day one of the Fitzgerald baseball skills camp took place Monday morning which saw the largest turnout in head coach Brandon Reeder’s career in the town.
The camp saw roughly 65 kids from ages six to 14 show up to Paulk Park and work on the basic fundamentals of baseball: hitting, baserunning, pitching and fielding.
The campers also got to work with current and former Hurricanes players – along with coaches – throughout the day, and Reeder said he hopes to see some of those kids suit up in the purple and gold again in the future.
The camp ends on July 20.
