Georgia Southwestern softball, baseball hold camps

Lady Hurricanes hold prospect camp, while baseball holds youth camp

AMERICUS, GA – Tuesday morning saw Georgia Southwestern softball hold a prospect camp, while the baseball team held a youth camp.

The prospect camp saw ninth through 12th graders – along with junior college players – from all over Georgia working on pitching, catching, fielding and hitting in the morning, and scrimmages in the afternoon.

The second annual baseball youth camp saw around 50 kids from five to 14 years old working with Hurricanes coaches on the basic fundamentals as well. Head coach Josh Donaldson said he hopes to see some of the kids in a few years playing for his group.

The next camp will be held some time next summer.
