WCSO looking for burglary suspect

(SYLVESTER, GA) – Worth County deputies want 29 year old, Colin “AJ” Terrell behind bars..

He’s currently wanted on charges of burglary and theft by taking for allegedly stealing from a COVID stricken couple on the brink of death

Worth County Sheriff, Don Whitaker says the crime has neighboring jurisdictions pitching in to put the cuffs on their suspect.

“We’ve been working with Colquitt County authorities for the past few weeks, and they’ve been working with us and exploring what has been happening in both counties,” says Sheriff Whitaker.

Deputies have been looking into Terrell for the last few weeks in what Sheriff Whitaker is calling ‘a crime of opportunity.'”

He tells us, “…Especially with the pandemic going on, we have sickness and death going on around us and people are taking advantage of that for their gain, that especially makes me angry.”

Due to the scale of the investigation, Sheriff Whitaker is not able to disclose any additional information at this time. But he encourages anyone with information to contact the WCSO.
