2 rescued from capsized vessel on Lake Blackshear

CORDELE, Ga. — 2 occupants of a capsized vessel were rescued from the waters of Lake Blackshear Tuesday afternoon after one of the occupants managed to call Crisp County E-911 and give the location information. Crisp County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Department of Natural Resources , Crisp County Fire Rescue and Crisp County EMS responded. Once rescued the occupants of the boat were taken to a nearby dock where they were checked out by Crisp County EMS and released.
