Lee County HS Football team holds 3rd signing day

(CORDELE, Ga)- The Lee County High School Trojans football team isn’t finished when it comes to their players signing for college.

The school held a third signing day Wednesday afternoon as four more of the seniors from the 2018 6A Georgia State Football Champions announced where they will be playing in college.

Wide Receiver Jeremiah Ingram and Defensive Back, Zach Mason will play at Lagrange University.

Defensive End, Dijarious Oliver will play at Point University.

While Wideout, Artavious Warren will play just down the road from Lee County, at Albany State University.

Oliver tells us, looking out at the Lee County field, “I mean, it’s a blessing. It was one of my dreams since I was a kid to be able to play at college, and not to far away from home, and it just came to me.”

Warren says, “It means a lot. I could stay close to my family, like I can always go back home to see them. And they don’t have a problem with traveling far, so they can come and see me play anytime.

Ingram says, “Me and my boys worked hard to get here, and we just gonna try to go to college and do the same thing we did here.”

“I’m blessed for the opportunity to even play football here, much less play at the next level. It’s been a dream come true,” says Mason, following the signing.

Wednesday’s signings brings the total number of Lee County High School players going on to play college football to 20.
