Jason Seacrist has been promoted to Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Region 4 Field Office in Douglas, Georgia. The staff that is assigned to this regional field office, which carries out criminal investigations within an 11-county area of operations, will be under the supervision of SAC Seacrist.

In 2011, SAC Seacrist joined the GBI to begin his career in law enforcement. As a GBI Special Agent, SAC Seacrist has worked at the Sylvester Drug Office, Sylvester Regional Office, Thomasville Regional Office, and South Georgia Drug Task Force.


In 2018, SAC Seacrist was elevated to the position of Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) of the Region 4 Field Office. SAC Seacrist leads the GBI instructor team for Interviews and Interrogations and is a Georgia P.O.S.T. certified instructor.

SAC Seacrist is a former member of the United States Navy. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Valdosta State University in 2004 and his Master of Business Administration from Robert Morris University in 2013.

SAC Seacrist is currently pursuing a Master of Public Safety Administration at Columbus State University.

There are four divisions within the Georgia Bureau of Investigation: the Legal Division, the Investigative Division, the Crime Laboratory, and the Georgia Crime Information Center. The GBI has a current budget of $147,482,036 and employs over 900 people. SAC Seacrist has been assigned to the Investigative Division.
