CORDELE, Ga. — COUNTRY Financial agent, Melody Godfrey is pleased to announce

Crisp County Sheriff’s Office as a 2019 recipient of a $1,500 COUNTRY Financial
Operation Helping Heroes Donation. Melody presented Sheriff Billy Hancock a check today and the money will assist with the purchase of a bullet proof vest for the newest member of the Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit. Molly, a Dutch shepherd dog, joined the department with her partner, Corporal Kenny Purvis in March 2019.

“We are very thankful that Crisp County was fortunate enough to be given the generous donation and even more proud to provide Molly the protection she deserves.  As K-9s are trained to give up their lives to protect their partners and all of us, we believe it is every bit as important to protect them,” said Sheriff Hancock.

Corporal Kenny Purvis will spend many hours training Molly. The two will develop a dedicated relationship that will allow them to serve others and provide an invaluable service to our community.

COUNTRY Financial Agent, Melody Godfrey, was excited to learn about this funding while attending the COUNTRY Financial Sales Congress earlier this year in Las Vegas. Melody is very active in her community and a committed supporter of First Responders. COUNTRY Financial has already provided more than $400,000.00 in donations to first responders and service members in 2019.
