Cordele City Commissioners issue proclamation
CORDELE, Ga. — Tuesday night members of the Cordele City Commission issued a proclamation designating the month of April as Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month.
Lelee Phinney, executive director of The Gateway Center and the staff there were on hand for the reading of the proclamation. The Gateway Center is a child advocacy/sexual assault center.
The center serves Crisp, Dooly, Wilcox and Ben Hill counties. They offer assistance to victims of child abuse and sexual assault.
Cordele City Manager Edward Beach read the proclamation that was presented to Phinney by Commission Chairman John Wiggins.
